Problem loading

I wouldn't normally mention this, but a couple of the posters on my site have mentioned that they sometimes have difficulty loading the main page.

When I access fireflyfans.net from my bookmark, it comes up with the 'problem with website... refresh etc.'

I normally have to press refresh a couple of times before I get the main page but new visitors to your website might not know that.

Hmmm...this is the first I've heard of this problem. The only possible cause I can think of at the moment is DNS related. Let me know if you continually encounter this problem.

It's a real shitty problem (one of those non-obvious ones)

Oki, as much info as I can think of...

I only get the problem when I am not already on your site (ie. if there is another window open on fireflyfans.net, I get in no problem).

If I type in the url of the main page instead of using my bookmark, I sometimes get the same error.

A poster on my board wrote this (in a thread about websites dedicated to firefly)

The Fireflyfans.net site always seemed to be down, so I gave up seeing the posts on that board.
(one of the reasons why I thought you should know)

My bookmark is:
http://www.fireflyfans.net/main.asp

As far as I know this has been happening regularly for about two months.

It doesn't cause me a problem, as I said, I just hit refresh and everything comes up fine (sometimes I have to hit refresh twice).

As far as I know, I haven't had this happen with other sites... often, it has happened though (I just can't remember which sites)

My next post will be the exact error message...

Grunt!

Welp! I can't duplicate the error now - typical huh!

That leads me to think that its'a DNS problem all right, but more likely at this end.

I'll try again tomorrow and post the error if it comes up again (I've forgotten the exact words... its the one 'this website is experienceing some problems etc. network maybe busy etc. press refresh etc.)

Happens to me all the time with IE 6.0.

I haven't tried with Mozilla yet.

I do not have any problem loading the main page, but I used to have a similar problem over at buffyguide.com. You might ask Jamie Marie Arnold over there, what she did about it.
