Hmm. Not finding any posts about Alan Todyk's appearance at the LA Comic Book & Sci-Fi Convension on Sunday. So here I am, stepping into the breach for you, the good people of FFF.net.
Since he was there promoting I, Robot, he didn't talk extensively about Serenity. However, there were one or two things said.
Regarding I-net rumors about why he and Ron Glass were not immediately associated with the movie, he admitted that it was all his fault because of all the other projects he's involved in. He really hemmed and hawed about this one and you could tell he felt a wee bit uncomfortable answering. But he is definately in the movie, so all is good.
Like everyone else, he had a first day on the set story. He said that he was on set the first day although he wasn't filming. He was standing behind the monitor as Sean and Summer were filming a scene and his first thought was, "I haven't seen this episode before. Oh, that's right, dummy. We're filming a movie now."
When pressed for a synopis, he devulged... well, let's make with the spoiler space.

Paraphrasing, River is being tracked by a new Alliance guy who is really good at his job, and stuff ensues.
As you can (or can't) see, not a new spoiler, but there you go.

Interesting. Wonder why we had not seen a report on Alan's appearance until now.
We had all pretty much figured out that Alan's busy filming schedule had gummed up things a bit. I wonder how much actual screen time he will have in the BDM.
Thanks for the report Anjin.
