The question is, did she get the name because Beck mentioned him, or does she really think Washington was a founding father, or is she ducking the question and talking about Washington 'cuz she can't NAME any founding father???
The video is full of his own bullshit, but I couldn't find just a clean video of the interview.
As the guy says, Beck first challenged her on it, saying "bullcrap" and asking the question again, but then he went on to kiss ass with "He's my favorite, too" (hoping maybe nobody'd picked up on it?)...shees!
Does her answer sound familiar? Like when Couric asked what she read, she hemmed and hawed, "all of them"...same here. As I heard last night, "it's like when you're asked about a book in school that you didn't read...you say everything you can in general, but no specifics". Yup.
Did you get the "diversity" remark? Duh...buncha white males, yup, they were diverse all right...duh?

Wouldn't come up for me: "Not available in your region". Sheet.
But I did find this one...I love Jon Stewart, he often puts his finger on just the right thing. (again, first part--this may be the same as yours, but I couldn't pull yours up). And he doesn't care which side he lampoons, which is cool.

The Clarice Starling bit, with Beck as Hanibal Lector was the one I liked
Stephen Colbert had another good one last night about the morality of folks walking away from mortgages which cost more than the value of the house...
" But the banks put their faith in you, it's not like the banks would ever walk away from their debts "

You know, most people, when they find themselves that deep in a hole, stop digging.
Not only does she stay the course, she brings in a goddamn backhoe.
And here I thought the absolute destruction of that whole sect and party was gonna take some effort, hey thanks, Sarah!

All in all, this is the most impressive Sarah Palin interview I've seen.
Heads should roll

But she never HAS to stop digging now, Frem! She's firmly ensconced at Fox Noise, where they will cowtow to her no matter WHAT she says. She's found a nice little safe hole with them, and their audience is HER audience, so they'll eat it up like candy.
Whatcha wanna bet most of them don't know Washington wasn't one of the founding fathers either? Any takers?
Yes, I liked the Hannibal Lechter comparison too...I'm not sure I would call her look "caribou stuck in the headlights", I'd bet more like "oh, gawd, what can I come up with to answer THAT?" But you're right, she looked better in comparison, especially when he fawned all over her with his "journal". Eeep! ![]()

Okay. Bring hell onto me, but there's some points in Mrs. Palin's comments.
Washington was reluctant. There were plenty of folks who wanted to make him King of America, and he resisted this strongly. Note that he was a strong supporter of the Society of the Cincinnati.
From Wiki: "The Society is named after Lucius Quinctius Cincinnatus, who left his farm to accept a term as Roman Consul and then served as Magister Populi (with temporary powers similar to that of a modern era dictator), thereby assuming lawful dictatorial control of Rome to meet a war emergency. When the battle was won, he returned power to the Senate and went back to plowing his fields."
Washington did much the same, going back to Mount Vernon and his life as a planter. he was also reluctant to accept nomination to the Presidency.
It's interesting that several of you you find a pundit that's obviously strongly opposed to Mrs. Palin, and then buy totally into their opinion based on their obviously slanted interpretation of a video clip.
Looks to me like the posters of this criticism of Mrs. Palin are 'left loonies' and there are folks buying their loonyness.
