Because you wrote that the studio ruined Spidey 3 and gave him a script he didn't want and that he apparently couldn't walk because of hollywood laws of physics. So, either he liked Spidey 3 or he's unable to back out on movies. Which is it?

I don't deny Story is usually on top of all things comic book.

However, on this particular issue he is all over the place. He stated the articles I read were BS. I posted them, and then he recanted. Citing "official" press releases as not being the whole story. They aren't, but unless you work for Sony, how would he know otherwise?

In better news, my friend works for WB(script consultant) and she gives me all the juicy dirt I care to hear.

Currently WB is pushing hard for a 3rd Batman film from Nolan. They want a 2012 release also,but Nolan isn't budging. Could this mean another reboot for the Batman?

Ok, look - I always liked Spidey, he was a more down to earth kinda hero, someone you could feel for, with real life frustrations and problems beyond the scope of the costume, and those movies somehow managed to fumble that into some kind of emo-angsty morass that made me ill just to watch it.

This is the part where I go "reboot?! how bout OH FOR THE LOVE OF GOD PLEASE STOP THE MADNESS!... seriously."

I felt like I'd ordered cotton candy and been served a lukewarm lemon slushie, just ICK!

The only memorable as decent part of the whole thing I even remember past the nausea was just how good the guy playing J. Jonah Jameson brought it home, and a rare FEW moments were Osbourne broke through the cheesy cardboard and actually got to act, but honestly, this one's for the round file.

PS - Downey as Stark, amen! - ain't no one else can do the part cause Downey's personal history gives him the ability to internalise Stark's nature so very well.

I said it wasn't just the date - that it was the script. What do all the stories say? The date was impossible because of.... the script. Again.... how is that not what I said from the start? I mean, sorry if I didn't lay it out in simple enough terms or something. So fine - I was opaque in my wording.... do you feel better, scoring a point?

Meanwhile.... Raimi did walk - according to, amongst other things - the article YOU linked when telling me he didn't walk.... Oh, and all the articles talk about the script issues.

No doubt. But I wouldn't count Nolan out. He has had a long standing policy that he won't discuss his next project until the current one is out. He wouldn't commit to TDK until The Prestige was done, so I wouldn't assume anything until Inception is closer to release.

And even on the off chance that Nolan didn't come back, they'd still stick to this continuity in all likelihood. I don't see them going into the next one ignoring such a massive hit(both financially and critically).

You were the one who said Raimi not making the date(script was implied) was BS. So yes, you did recant what you initially stated. And like I said, unless you work for Sony, You have nothing to base your stories on EXCEPT "official" press releases(everything else is heresay, and rumor). Well you admitted your mistake(sort of) so I will admit that I thought Raimi parting from the Spidey franchise was a mutual descision between Sony, and himself. I just read it too fast is all.
