The other day I was at work, and the guy that I work with was telling me to do something, and I said no, all of this on both sides in a very joking way. Then he responds, "Don't you know what the chain of command is?" (he's in no way above me, nor am I above him).

Sadly, I didn't have the presence of mind to respond with the obvious quote. I've no idea if he's a Firefly fan or not, but he didn't finish it either so I assume not.

You should call him at home, right now, and say it! Would that make you feel better? Of course, he'll think you are a raving lunatic, but hey, at least it will be out of your system.
