Keep me in mind if you get no takers, I don't mind if they are sent by the slowest/cheapest cart horse available.
Why have they taken the sky from ME
I will keep you in mind but there are already several people that are watching these two items and I expect several bids from US fans.

Help me help Haken. SHOW ME THE MONEY!
Not that I'd really know, but I imagine building a whole new website ain't an easy undertaken. I'm thinkin' instead of sending our beer money to Haken, he might just want the beer.

I pray for one last landing,
on the globe that gave me birth.
Let me rest my eyes on the fleecy skies
and the cool, green hills of Earth.

Actually I was wondering what 'ware he might need, cause I come across buttloads of it here and there, particularly when stuff goes out of warranty at a mid-largish corp and they chuck it cause it's not cost-effective to hire techs for non-warranty work, you see... and then have to pay this disposal/recycling cost, and soooo...
When some goon shows up in a truck offering to "make it go away" for free, allowing them to save or pocket the disposal cost, no one says a word, they just load the truck.
Where you think RAWA gets all that office equipment, neh ?
Just an idle thought, I don't think the site uses much in the way of hardware, but fronting some software or a security suite would be something I'd not mind doing, especially the latter if it'd help keep the bugbears away.

Not too bad. If anything, it's VERY time consuming because I don't use any pre-built content management systems like DNN, Drupal, etc.. Not that there's anything wrong with using them, but I just find writing my own gives me a level of freedom I would not have otherwise if I had used something built by a third party. Additionally, I would be totally dependent on the third party in terms of support.
I think if I were to equate the number of hours spent to a dollar amount to pay someone to build and support this site, it'll probably cost tens of thousands easy, but being that it's just me, I work cheap.
In terms of FFF.NET 2.0 at least most of the back end stuff will be carried over from 1.0, just need to optimize it a bit more and maybe add new functions to the mix. The real work is really the UI and all the additional pages that will be added to accommodate whatever new features members request.
Just a lot of work.
BTW, I don't drink beer, but a good cup of Joe is always good--especially when I doze off at 2 in the morning, which have happened before, and I fall off my chair. :)

I know what you're going through. My daughter is a fledgling web designer and she puts in long hours too.

Wait a minute. I thought that Haken, like my 3rd grade teacher, Ms Johnson, simply did this endeavor out of pure love and interest, and not for such tawdry things like personal profit or money.
Do you mean to say.... that's not the case ?
( hee hee.... 'tis a good cause, I s'pect
)

Is Ms. Johnson pretty?
I'll do this for her too.

Alas, I fear Ms Johnson may have lost some of her girlish good looks, as it's been some some 36+ years since.... dear lord. I'm gettin friggn old.
She left quite and impression, you might say.
Granted, she was no Mrs Hale, but I digress.
Per matters more current, I'm glad the notion of payment....err, donation was brought up. Pay pal is such an easy way to go.
