Jeremiah, how was it broadcast ? P&S or WS ?

To take up time till Serenity comes around I've been thinking of buying the Jeremiah DVD set. I see that its Pan and Scan. Was it originally broadcast like this ? Does anyone know if they will release a widescreen version later on ?
