What's with the community forums? This is the only place I can get into directly, I can't get into any of the forums themselves, and when I click on one of the threads under "Community", the "other threads" on the left are all from this one. Eeep? Thanx!
And I see that, tho' I posted this in "Firefly News", it came up under "General Discussion"...somebody screwing with the site or something?

Yah, someone's been messing with the site quite a bit, usual spammer/malware jerks trying to drive traffic by pokin holes in our favorite hangout, may they burn for it.
Haken's been workin on it for a bit now, and I tellya, if he needs any additional hardware or software I'd be happy to help out, but mostly it's the grunt work of patching code, which I do not envy him in the slightest.
I wouldn't mind puttin a virtual torpedo up the rear of the folks doin it (it all seems to be coming from a single source, and an unskilled one at that) but I am hesitant to go messin with something that don't belong to me - tho whatever provider they are using might be amenable to cutting them off if they can be shown logs of the activity.
So three cheers for the Hak-meister, cause he's just awesome like that.

When does this occur? I just posted a new thread and then responded to myself. No errors encountered. What steps do I need to take to reproduce the problem?

I used "reply", made the message, clicked on the "update my post" button under this text window, and got the "page cannot be displayed" message for fireflyfans.net/updatemessage.asp address (I think that is all correct - that is either "savemessage" or "updatemessage" pages). I have been backing out to the thread display, hitting refresh, and checking if the post popped up. Aslo happens with reply with quote.
My work computer has cookie restrictons, so maybe try to create the error without your cookies. But this is not the normal occurance, even with this computer. It has happened before (on other computers), but you've always fixified it before.

Site seems much better today. Yesterday I was having issues with getting ANY of the forums to come up when I clicked on them from the "Community" page, but if I clicked on one of the 5 active threads up top, the thread itself would come up - I just couldn't find a way into the individual forums the threads were posted in, and I couldn't find a way to post a NEW thread!
As said, all seems better today.
I'm on a Mac, if that makes any difference.
