ALIAS season four is seeming very cool so far...

I got response on an other old thread that season 4 was crap, but it seems great to me at ep 3, just like the old Mission Impossible was. I honestly like the incredible lack of angst from the first 3 seasons, as well as the sense of completion at the end of each "story."
ALIAS fans, am I alone here?

Mostly you are, yeah.

There are a few good episodes in there, no doubt. But the two things that hooked me on the show were the characters and the running storylines. the characterization fails for me in this season mostly for the Sloan situation, and the done-in-one stories don't really capture my attention much.

Alone, adrift, an outcast, forlorn & forsaken.
I enjoy that which others do not. Yeah though I walk through the valley of the shadow of bad taste, I fear not; for mine is the kingdom of *Meh*, and I will dwell in the house of the Rejected Seasons, forever.

For me, the whole letting Sloan live at all thing is a problem.
I take this season as a reboot of sorts, having in mind that Sloan is a jerk, and it works for me that way. Otherwise, SOMEONE should have waxed his sorry murderous ass in season 3.
Anyway, enjoying it on a certain compartmentalized level.

Episode 5, and, sorry, still liking it. Not as much as season 5, but still good. Still not missing Francie or the rest of her whiny social ties.

Ep 6, and still groovin' to it.

Wait.

I'm responding to myself... is it the Nocturne affecting me???

You all hate me for liking this season, don't you?!?!?!?

I...must...have...antidote...

Ahhhh.... Serenity.....

actually, while it had it's problems, I really enjoyed season 4 too. Probably wasn't as good as some of the other seasons overall, but I really dug a lot of the stuff in there.

So I guess, at least this time CiA, you have a friend. Haven't watched Alias in a while actually, might have to dust off those dvds and rewatch soon!

and are you the one that mentioned on here ages ago that you're watching the show backwards or something?
I assume this only because you mentioned season 5...and you're watching season 4...

I don't hate the season (though I do hate some of the choices made storytelling wise), but I find it inferior to the others, by far.

But I'm glad Chris enjoys it. Not terribly surprised, either.

Yeah, saw Season one back when it first came out on DVD, then recently bought season 5 and loved it, Got season 1 & 2, and got a kick out of 'em, but didn't understand why anyone would let Sloan live...
I read all about what happens in season 3, and really had no interest in it. Season 4 is the reset button, and for me it is working just fine so far as a lead in to the final one. I sold 1 & 2 to get the coin for a used Trek TOS remastered season 3. Looks like I'm gonna keep ALIAS 4 & 5.

You still skipped 3, and will be keeping 4 over the awesome 1&2....

Wow.

Between this and your perpetual defense of lousy films.... I have to wonder about you sometimes. I'm amazed you like Firefly. Seems you'd prefer Space Rangers or something.
