It's weird (sort of), but it really sounds like Joss is ready to be done with the show, based on some of his recent interviews. He sounds pretty worn down, and he definitely has zero plans to continue the series in any way after the last episode airs on Jan. 22.
I'll reserve judgment until the end (depending on how much I like the way they wrap the show :P), but maybe it's for the best that he will move on after this season. And I'm speaking as a person who loves the show, spams my friends' Facebook pages with reminders of a show they've never watched, pre-ordered the DVD, etc. Joss just sounds beat down... =\
I loved the second episode last night though, mostly for the Victopher scenes (wow!! Please let Hollywood find Enver Gjokaj!), but also for the story, Summer Glau, and so on. I'm not sure why they didn't use the disruptor to stop Echo though. As posted elsewhere (and discussed with my family last night producing no answers), did Bennett simply not disrupt Echo, or is Echo in some way immune to the disruptor? I guess we'll find out next week, but I'm wondering if people had any strong opinions on the subject here?

Double header was nice. Like a feature movie. With extra commercials.

Echo, who is usually the focus, served as part of a great ensemble piece. Almost every character that made an appearance contributed something valuable to the overall story.
As I've said many times in discussing DOLLHOUSE, one of the biggest problems with the show is Eliza Dushku. Don't get me wrong, she was amazing as Faith, but I don't think the girl has the chops to carry a show. Add to that the fact that Echo/Caroline may well be the least interesting character on the show, and it's no surprise that DOLLHOUSE suffers from lackluster ratings and reviews.
If you go back and look at the strongest episodes of DOLLHOUSE, they all share one thing in common: Dushku is part of the ensemble cast rather being the focal point.

Only have time to watch the first one right now, but gotta say, taking out two armed guards with handcuffs on? Kick ASS. Literally. First time this entire season I've actually cheered for Ballard, and I think he's a jerk.

What happened to Echo in the first episode when her past imprints 'woke up' is what I always thought of when they mentioned 'composite event' last season. As I have thought almost continually since it started, if they'd started the show with this season and woven the story around it, the show would have been better. Way better. I started loving the show right before it was officially shut down. Go figure

Alexis played the final scene just like every day in District of Criminals. Well done Sir!
Evil Wesley 2. Didn't he get to play Evil Dead in 1 epp of BTVS?
I liked the Manchurian Candidate theme, fratboy from Yale. Lots of folk suspect GW Bush was mind-controlled by his evil daddy. Loser drunk doper promoted to president. Even his classmates were horrified Jr Bush was the president. On History Channel's Star Wars Legacy Revealed, Joss said GW was a dictator same as Hitler, perping false flag terror attacks on his own country just like Hitler, and the emperor in Star Wars.

watching tonight's first episode of dollhouse,
just released victor from his contract, and where did they tell him they had reserved a suite for him???
The Hyperion.
Name of the hotel Angel & Crew lived/worked in.
(I guess since M.E. already had rights to that name....)

Excellent show, as usual.
Lots of dead heros. Minear was overjoyed.
