Favourite longish scene?

Okay I was just wondering what everyone’s favourite longish scene was. Not your favourite moment in a scene or favourite lines but a scene that works really well as a whole or is consistently good all the way through.

My current top three would have to be (in no particular order):

1. The argument between Zoe and Wash in War Stories. I think that scene is really well written and acted.
2. River fixing Book’s bible in Jaynestown. I think River’s ramblings are very well written here and the scene is really funny. But most of all I love the way it presents the two sides of the religion argument and doesn’t try to decide which is right.
3. The scene with the gun-stealing in Trash – this scene is just really funny all the way through.

Anyway I’m just interested to see what everyone else’s thoughts are, sorry if this has been discussed to death.

i think it would have to be the last scene in OIS. it starts with zoe pulling the bullet out of simon, wash with the quick brow mop, the sexual tention between mal & inara, the funny exchange between jayne & book, kaylee's fill-in-the-blank story, ending with the river holding the ball.

I'm not sure if I get it, but correct me if I don't ^-^

Simon's explanation to the crew about River. I dunno why, but it's my favorite. (Serenity)

Not to mention when River's almost burnt at the pole bit. The whole speech, Simon holding onto his sister (brings me to tears just thinking about it), all the way up to the saving bit. (Safe)

Oh and also Mal and Wash's capture in War Stories. Just them wondering around a room, talking is somehow interesting and exciting to me.

I gotta agree with KarenKay99, ECGordon, and HEB. But that was only after listening to Joss talk about this on the commentary. That scene is pretty amazing on so many levels.

There is one scene that stuck with me from watching it on tv (before I had the advantage of listening to all the background info). That was the whole torture scene with Mal, Wash, and Niska.

Yep ... this scene was seared in my husband and my brains from when it aired on TV. We were snickering for days over it, and I couldn't wait to get the DVD set to see that one bit over again. The ongoing argument between the two whilst being tortured was amazing and so very, very funny.

The scene which starts with Jayne and Mal on the bridge, and moves to Simon and Mal on the bridge, ending with just Mal smiling to himself.

There are others, but that's the one that's sticking out right now.

I liked the end of "Serenity" with the conversation between Mal and Simon. It's got the "you ain't weak," "If I kill you," and "We're still flying" quotes.
