This is perhaps the best album on the racks right now. I think "Rated R" will easily match it, but i digress. I mean look, the ranges is music from Heavy, thrashing, KICK ASS Metal, to the melodies works out perfectly. I mean you have songs like, "ALL HOPE IS GONE", "SULFER", "VENDETTA", "PSYCHOSOCIAL", "GEHENNA". And then you have songs like "DEAD MEMORIES", and "SNUFF". THE BEST ALBUM OF THE LAST DECADE IN ROCK!!!. And it will tie with "Rated R" For overall decade of the year. And let's not forget, the bands first official album as SLIPKNOT, was self titled, and came out in 1999. So for ten, TEN, years this awesome band has been revolutionising the way rock bands do their music. With the masks, the coveralls, the same barcode, hell the numbering system of 0-9, all make them that much more revolutionary. BEST BAND SINCE BLACK SABBATH,and LED ZEPPLIN.

I'll agree that Slipknot is good. I really like a good amount of there songs, but this thread title scared me a bit. You can't name a thread All Hope Is Gone in a Firefly discussion board. I was expecting some horrible news.

We need to add a plain old "GENERAL DISCUSSION" forum for anything that goes on that we want to talk about, like "RANTS", or something like that, i'd visit that ALOT. But for now, we have to make do, so it's "Talk Story", gottcha! It intrigues me that you call Slipknot 'rock' and also that you mention them in the same sentence as Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin. Particularly Zeppelin.
Now, you're definitely allowed to like Slipknot (I'm not a fan, but I have friends who are), but I don't see how you could compare them in the slightest to a band like Led Zeppelin, in terms of genre OR how good they are.
Also, I'm not a Rihanna fan, so couldn't care less about 'Rated R', but I have heard 'Russian Roulette' and seen the video clip, and personally I thought it was pretty awful. Not my style of music though. If we're talking Russian Roulette inspired songs, I prefer 'Dangerous Game' by 3 Doors Down.
