I have friends all over the political spectrum, but I don't keep friends who can't keep it civil, and by civil I mean "not insulting my or my friends' intelligence with sweeping denigration".

Lord knows I've been called on it myself, and have been censured. But regardless of where I _do_ stand, i try to keep it civil. Everyone has a right to their POV.

His Twitter is merely a redirect to:
http://bighollywood.breitbart.com/author/abaldwin/

At least he's reading books about the Founding Fathers, on how to start a Revolutionary War, with a chapter on "Don't Tread on Me".

If it really were Adam, why don't he volunteer for combat in Afghanistan, like Pat Tillman?

If he changes his opinion, he can get triple-tapped at point blank range by his own troops, like Tillman.

Or is Baldwin now suddenly against the war$, because now a Demorat is "in charge"?

I don't agree with everything he says but I find his blog surprisingly well researched and thought provoking.

I like to read people I don't agree with, as long as they make civil and intelligent arguments, because I need to hear perspectives I haven't thought of before. That's why I like to come to FFF.net.

I'm glad to know that some actors think and are not afraid to speak up.

I dont disagree with yours or his right to think as he likes, but I think of twitter as a fun place were actors can connect with fans in real time for irrelevant amusement like Nathan does. Never thought of it as a serious place for political rediric or controversial issues. More of say Hi, to the people that pay your bills not alienate them or piss them off!

I used to follow him on Fox's Firefly site but gave up on Adam after the started flaming and mokcing people after Katrina. It was about the time I realized Adam doesn't really 'act', even playing Animal in Stanley Kubrick's Full Metal Jacket he's not really acting. Adam is a character and he only ever played one character over all those years - and that character is himself

It's nice to see a well reasoned take on AB's political views. All the other knee "JERK" responses are very assuming, as well as a bit ignorant, or something. YMMV

Very much so. His posts on the old Fox board were definitely some, uh, interesting reads.
