So who should be playing a bad guy politician slimeball (again) but our own Sheriff from the mining planet on "Train Job"?
He does such a good jackass! And this is at least the third time he's worked with Nathan. (Firefly, Slither, Castle)
Castle is just turning into a talent magnet..between that and Dollhouse I'm strolling down memory lane.

yeah I like TV shows that are like repositories for good actors and writers who have been neglected. I'm thinking V is in this category too. Bones does it's fair share of sharing out the work too.
Be nice to see Michael Rooker on the Box in something soon.

Man, I feel stupid. I watched the ep thinking "I know him from somewhere" and never made the connection. Read the post and slapped myself in the forehead.

People, I have an idea, since ABC does 'get it' Nathan & Morina both have shows there, and they let Nat put all the FF references in that he can....how about we start asking ABC to get the rights to FF and they do our show??? They seem to understand us, and I wonder what Joss would think of that? I think the Dr Horrible skit on the Emmys may have helped 'spread the word'.

Ash: Episode two, Train Job, the network aired pilot. He was the sheriff with Boden's... wow that sounded incredibly geeky.
Friend of Ash: Nathan needs to get the cast on!
Ash: I know right?
Friend of Ash: I want Alan on so they can give Castle an excuse to wear a hawaiian shirt and doll out some more FF references.
Ash: Yeah, maybe he could wrangle Morena on too? Seeing as they are on the same network and all now.

And, while not a Firefly connection, this episode of Castle did have another Sci-Fi connection: It was directed by Jonathan Frakes.

As you point out - Nathan and Morena are currently working for the network. It's astronomically unlikely they're going to cancel two shows that are doing well to bring back a canceled show from 7 years ago.

Oh come on, this is a great idea....but honestly, do you think that there is the more than 1% of a chance for firefly to come back ?
I really hope but since the website fireflyseason2 is down and as you mentioned it has been almost 7 years now since the show was cancelled, does anybody have a idea HOW it can come back?
