Castiel was in rare form this week; this is the first time he's really bent the rules to save the day. And he made a joke.

I have to bump this. For me, this is still the best show on TV. The previous episode was up there with OMWF. It was hi-larious, turned gravely serious, and continued to move an epic story forward.

Their trip through TV land was the definition of high-larious. They pretty much made fun of just about everything I don't like: medical dramas, forensic shows and "reality" game shows. The hosptial sequence was too good to be true..."paging Dr. Sexy". I also enjoyed the nod towards Jeffrey Dean Morgan since he played John Winchester and ghost dad on the medical show that was being lampooned. And just when we thought they were out Sam takes his turn as KITT. Priceless.

Yeah it was a great episode.
My first thought when they seemed to get out was that it couldn't be true as there was too long left in the episode. But I never expected KITT, and with the music as well.
Loved the joke when Dean is in the cars boot. A dirty joke brilliantly done.
And then finding out who the Trickster really was was great, even more so as he's a recurring character and not someone they just brought in for the episode. Adds more weight to it and seems momre like it was planned (whether it was or wasn't).
I actually like CSI and CSI:NY but stopped watching a CSI:Miami a while ago because it had gotten so silly and Caruso just made me laugh everytime he came on screen.
Looking forward to seeing how this season pans out and I am betting on a big fight between Sam and Dean in the finale. Whether they are inhabited vessels or not I can't say yet but there's definitely a fight coming.

The season seems to be moving around pretty fast. They've been jumping around a lot, like they need to get someplace and aren't sure they'll have time.
Still, I love the show, and can't believe it's going to be almost 2 months before we get a new episode.

Mark's character was a hoot. Assuming he didn't know what would happen with the Colt he better run far and fast.
After several light hearted episodes they throw this one at us. Seriously, this was like taking a haymaker from a heavyweight boxer.

It's not bad enough that Lucifer raises the angel of death or that the Colt has no effect on him(I wonder what else it can't kill) but killing off Jo and Ellen was harsh. I expected things to get bad but it was still quite a blow. I will be surprised if one or both of the Winchesters isn't dead by the end of the series. Kudos to the actress who plays Ellen. That was one of the more convincing portrayals of grief without being over the top.

Well, assuming the Colt and the demon-killing knife are similar magic, then it's possible angels might be Colt-proof (Castiel got stabbed in his first appearance and shrugged it off).
If angels can survive it, then Archangels definitely could (hell, Lucifer is an Archangel, technically).
It probably can't kill the Horsemen.
Now that I think about it, it may not be able to kill simple ghosts, either. (What would you shoot? The aparition? The root of the haunting?)
It's possible it can't kill Reapers (Reapers exist "out of phase" with the rest of the world --and the Colt. Can't shoot something that you. . . can't shoot).

Lucifer said he was one of five beings in existence that it could not kill. I suppose the other four would be the horsemen.
