A 2000 production that I just discovered & got from Amazon, being the extreme Robofan that I am (I have the trilogy on DVD & I even watched the questionable '94 "family-friendly" TV series).
But so far, limited budget aside, this is kinda cool. It's 4 TV movies from Canada, and the first one wasn't bad. It's R-rated, so it's not a happy-happy.

The first of four parts was kinda weak, but it did have some moments.
The second one, however, was kick-ass. I hope the last two will be as good!

You do realize, Chrisisall, that talking with yourself is a supposed sign of madness, dontcha?

I've got the entire mini-series on DVD (though a online discount DVD store) and I remember watching it originally air here in Canada. I personally found it was a decent effort...darker than the 1994 series by a notable margin but a tad lighter than Robocop 1. Kinda steals from RoboCop 2 in one of its plot lines but I think it was a bang up job. Only complain I've heard that I could agree with is the actor playing RoboCop (Page Fletcher) is a tad bit on the shorter side compared to Peter Weller, but you honestly don't really notice except during the flashbacks to human Murphy.
But then again, I didn't find RoboCop 3 or the series to be all that bad, but nothing in comparsion to RoboCop 1...

Quote:I agree with ya. Worst part for me was Fletcher's vertical challenge inside the suit:

Clearly, Fletcher is the shortest of the bunch, his neck nearly disappearing in the get-up. It was very distracting to me, and I hated how he looked when his helmet was off, but the rest of the production was good. As a rabid Robo fan, I'm glad I got it. Some of the FX were surprisingly good, too!

I rate it like this:
Robocop
Robocop 3
Robocop: Pime Directives
Robocop The Series
Robocop 2
