Some Info On 'Shepherd Comic'

At Dragon Con, Ron Glass phrased some of these 4 things a little differently:

1) Shepherd Book found God in a bowl of soup,

2) Book has an artificial body part,

3) Book took his name from a man he killed, and

4) Book is best known for his greatest failure.

I told Mr. Glass that I thought Book had an epiphany (found god) after drowning a guy in a bowl of soup, perhaps alphabet soup, and that he has an artificial heart.

Yeah, finding God will probably be a much, much darker affair than it sounds. Drowning a guy is a possibility, or possibly primordial melted-rock-and-people soup.
