I resent kids and their summer vacation. Lucky little jerks. Though I heard Obama is finally taking care of them. Have fun with year round school kids. mwuahahahahaha

I LOVE a good salad. I could eat salads every single day. Here's what I like in order of importance:

Romaine lettuce
Tomato
Peas
Broccoli
Red/Yellow/Orange Bell Pepper
Kidney beans
Corn
Red Onion
Garbanzo Beans
Black Olives
A few sunflower seeds
a spoonful of bacon bits (yes, I like the imitation ones)
a couple shreds of cheese..not much at all
Top it off with some lo-fat honey mustard dressing and I'm a happy camper. Yum...I think I'll go to the little store up the street and get a salad for dinner. Super-yum

I do NOT want carrots (slices, shreds, whatever..I'm just not a fan of carrots..except for completely by themselves) or green olives on my salads. I will even take greek olives out of my greek salad. Blech.

another favorite salad: Walnuts, bleu cheese crumbles, green apple slices, raspberry vinagrette dressing

You forgot to list mushrooms above lettuce in the order of importance. I know it's implied, but I just thought you should know.

Yes. Mushrooms and Red Onions. I only said Onion in my original post, but as RugBug states they should be Red Onions.

Hahaa...

Gross, spongy fungii on my lovely salad? No thanks. I'll pick 'em all off and give 'em to you and Traveller.

Okay folks...I need your opinions (if you feel like offering them). I've sort of picked out my holiday dress for this year already. I a tad worried because it's not a great color for me as a blond, however I can wear some variations of it. I actually wanted something in purple 'cause that's a great color for me, but purple is the "now" color and I hate to be too trendy. So what do you think of this:

It's very similar to last year's dress, same designer, same fabric, same length, similar cut. I'm worried that it's too similar (although I adored last year's dress). BTW...my hair really is blond...it was just pulled back and looks VERY brown in that picture

Hmm it is very similar to last years... I totally think you could rock a silver dress. Have you taken a look at any of those??

Silver is not so good on me. Gun metal grey...good. Silver...blech. I do best in jewel tones (most blues, greens, blue-based reds, fuschias, purple, etc). Two years ago I was on a grey or navy kick...there was very little in those colors in the store. Last year, they were everywhere.
