It's fuzzy-minded liberal thinking like that that gets you eaten.

Yeah, here too obviously. Movies or TV shows I've seen over fifty time are the only WD40'd ones. That'd be Trek TOS, Army Of Darkness, Enter The Dragon, Star Wars & Serenity.
Yes, Serenity is my MOST-WATCHED movie made in this decade. When the DVD came out, it was like, 2X a week for months.

Hey Thanks MSA. I"ve worked with all kinds of Kids too and I know how hard it can be to encourage them to meet their highest potential.Feel free to share my story if you think it will be useful to them. I know kids I have worked with have found similar coping mechanisms to be beneficial or else they've been motivated to be creative about overcoming their own perceived limitations. You sound like a trully dedicated teacher. Keep it up I'm sure the kids appreciate it. :-)

Most of you probably remember when the site went dark a few years ago (has it been that long?)... maybe not completely dark, but was glitchy as hell.... the repeating message that you would get when trying to log on was some long compu-speak referring to you being the "deadlock victim".... i had been an off and on lurker about this time and adopted that name when i eventually joined..

not a very good Firefly reference - more site related -

De Nada, my red one. I like when someone is forthcoming and honest, you know, a straight-shooter.

Not many women, hell for that matter, not many folk speak their mind. Like Mal says; just speak plain, is all.

I had the "Osibisa Woyaya" poster on my wall

I had the first Osibisa album, shiny stuff. My friends and I would walk over to Manny's apt, light up and throw some LPs on the stereo and mellow out to Santana, Buddy Miles, Miles Davis, ELP and Osibisa (to name a few).

Good Times, Noodle soup.

I'm a Cleveland Browns fan, and on my football forum nearly everyone adds the word "Dawg" to their screen name... This is because there's the "Dawg Pound" section at CBS.

I signed up on that forum after hurricanes Jeanne and Francis hit back in 2004. I was amazed at the raw power of the storm, and I've never experienced anything like it (and don't particularly care to either). I thought it was a fitting screen name because I'll never forget those two storms.

Hence the name HurricaneDawg... Because DawgHurricane sounds too goofy.
