Back when Firefly was still on the air, I used to lurk over at the OB, and found most of the posts thoughtful and witty, if somewhat terse (one might even say 'laconic'). Then when FF got the ax. Within about a month, the whole board seemed to be taken over by glue-sniffing adolescents. It's getting better, but it's still as chaotic as hell. So, 'tomfoolery'...

I believe it's all a plot of the Radical Right Wing Republicans that run the F*x Network. They have purposely obfuscated the posts on the OB in order to scuttle Firefly's message of beneficent Democratic socialist policies. Since they may clearly be associated with 'The Alliance' of the Firefly 'verse, I believe it's apparent that they want to turn us all into indentured servants, terraforming Mars and the moons of Jupiter for their evil imperial purposes. (zoid continues to spew self-contradictory rhetoric for an additional 30 minutes, until he drifts off to sleep in his mug of now-tepid Ovaltine)

To recap: #1. You misread my honest critique of the OB as a challenge; #2. Far be it from me to disappoint someone spoiling for a fight; #3. One should not take zoid too seriously, under any circumstances.

Can I ask, though - is Tomfoolery frowned upon at this board? Will I get in trouble if I fool with Tom? But he's so much fun with the foolery!

I as well have thought about the fate of the OB and have come to the conclusion that its demise is probably sooner than later. ie Fox will not want to pay for a board that services another studios movie.
