Uggghh. I loathe Scare Tactics. :(
But I'll be happy for the Warehouse 13 repeats. :)
Thanks for the info though.

Since the demise of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, there's nothing I want to watch on Friday night.

Boy, you really did your homework RAir.
I wasn't even aware that JLH was with JK. To be honest, I agree with her die-hard fans. JK!? of all the dudes in HW perhaps the sweetest girl in Hwood picks him! Right now I'm scratching my head.
If CBS really cares about winning the ratings game, or the show for that matter, then they may suggest to Jennifer that her continued star role depends on her leaving JK. I don't know if that would ever happen (really!?, yep that's the best I could come up with).
You may have something there though ratings, in TV land, means everything. As they say, the plot thickens.
Still though, it's up to Joss & Co. to bring it and soon. The best defense is a good offense. He must get us excited and create 'net buzz - similar to that of Dr. Horrible. Then Fox will sit up and take notice, perhaps enough to move DH to a more decent night of viewing with a better lead-in than a rookie comedy.
BTW I love CCH Pounder, she was simply magical on The Shield.
SGG
Tawabawho?

Agreed. You might like her on Brothers- it's definitely a different role for her, doing comedy, but she's good at it. Man, she's keeping busy lately, huh? This show AND Warehouse 13 (she's Mrs. Frederick on that show).

Bad news indeed.
I remember when Firefly aired it averaged a 4.25(7 million or so) for it's time slot. And it didn't even get a full freaking season!!!
I don't understand Fox, but I hope they at least see Dollhouse through to the end of this season.

Never mess with a woman with 3 initials for a first name!
Brothers is impressive for a sit-com.
As for DH 2-1, on the whole I liked it...seems like Eliza is getting rangier (that IS a word, right?). Mostly I enjoyed the bits that didn't have to do with Echo's assignment, but as someone else mentioned, the last 15-20 minutes were good, all together.

Still...what would Rorschach do?

IMHO the Topher/Whiskey scenes stole the show, hands down.

Are these ratings supposed to be surprising when Season One also didn't do too well? It's wrong to blame the network for it. You can include me in the category of those who didn't watch the premiere when it aired...but watched it on Saturday on FOX's online stream.
Those are the numbers that will be watched more closely. I don't think Dollhouse was renewed with any expectations of high Nielson ratings, but more as an experiment to see how big the numbers are for online viewing.
No, the Nielson ratings just ain't that big of a deal this time.
But what is was the story. This was not a good introduction to a second season if you're new to the show. I don't think anyone watching it for the first time is going to be inspired to return. This was for those of us already familiar with what's going on.
SPOILER IN REST OF POST
I think this story established two things. One: the introduction of a new "agent" attempting to take down the Dollhouse, and Two: Echo's beginning to remember more and teaming up with Ballard.
Except for the fight at the end with Echo, it was really, freaking boring. It didn't seem like anyone was into character; like the actors were shocked to even being back. Really, I think Amy Acker did a great job, not to mention she's hawt as hell, and it's unfortunate she won't be a regular this season.
I don't know what's going to happen, but if they're looking for new viewers, they've got a LOT of work to do. I think the second episode will be better and that ratings will gradually climb. But the soap opera's going to have to take a back seat for a while and come in small bits so each episode can stand on its own if they want to increase the audience.
Truthfully, right now I'm not really fascinated by any of the characters.
