There is no bear. That was a lie. But I am leaving. Just wanted to say thanks for watching, y'all come back, etc... also, I read occasionally that people haven't been as happy with this year (actually, I hear that every year), show's not the same... not from eveeryone, but it comes up, and I just wanna say this: Dis not th' Nox. Say not that I'm not into it, Marti's not getting it done, anything of that sort...Fact is, I'm in this show up to my neck always. Same With Angel and yup, Firefly too. And I've read that I've blown off one for the other -- He's over Buffy, Firefly is just a ontractual obligation, he didn't even CREATE the Rockford Files, why's he taking credit for it... I've heard it all. And it ain't necessarily so. Marti (She of the great brain and great beauty) and I shaped this year very carefully, and while we made mistakes (as we do every year), we made our show. We explored what we wanted to, said what we meant. You don't have to like it, but don't think it comes from neglect. That would give me hurty feelings. Next year is gonna be the greatest challenge of my life, but I've got all three shows lined up thematically, i've got amazing writers and stupendous casts, I'm excited. It feels like the beginning. Joss, year one.
Just wait.
He sounded really excited about what's happening this year. I assume it's because of Firefly. I wonder if he paid this site a visit yet. Would actually be kinda cool if he dropped us a message one day.

I think it would be neat if he did, but then again, I think I'd be happier if he took a few minutes rest. With all of his projects, he has a lot of work to do.
Personally, with the number of people on the internet and the amount of information that gets moved around, it would make sense for someone to keep an eye on websites. If you are selling a product, you want to know what people think, and it's the same with a TV show. Check out the internet and usenet and see what the fans are saying before you make any assumptions. I read recently that one of the writers from the X-Files checked out some newsgroups to see how the finale was percieved and was surprised to find out no one got the message. He then spent hours figuring out why. It would have saved a lot of trouble if he had check the internet sooner.
Of course, it would just be neat if JW actually posted here.

But seriously, there are like three sites total on Firefly. I would not be in the least bit surprised if he had indeed checked us out.

I think we should do some cross-promotion on The Bronze message board. If there's someone here that regularly participates on The Bronze board, put a link in your sig! Let's campaign to get Joss here!Joss is my idol... it would thrill me to no end if he dropped a post here. I even wrote him a fan-letter... the only other person I ever wrote a fan-letter to was Superman... but I digress

There's also one at http://buffy.emmalee.com/firefly/news.html but there's not much info there.
