The entire Emmys was a massive improvement from last year (the train wreck of reality TV stars). They kept entertaining the entire time, and it seemed everyone in the industry seemed to enjoy poking fun of themselves or joining in on the goofiness (props to the comedy girls for the eyewear and Silverman's fab mustache). However Horrible definitely was the highlight. Nathan I think had the best lines-

"People will always need BIG glossy, shiny, gloss covered entertainment!"

and my personal favorite-

"Like the Ottoman Empire, the music industry and Zima, TV's here to stay!"

Zima was what sold it.

Didn't watch the Emmys, but heard about this on the news this morning and was happy that the skit was on YouTube already.

This was definately the highlight. The show was fun overall, but thank goodness for DVR's. Got to fast forward the entire "reality" segment and a good deal of the "variety" segment as well.

I just had to crack up at Kevin Kline, though. During some of the more off the wall humor sketches (like Jimmy Fallon) he had this utterly confused look on his face. He definately was not "getting it."

But Dr. Horrible and Capt. Hammer . . . utterly hilarious. Nathan Fillion hammed it up and I loved that he was looking in wrong camera and had to be pointed in the right direction.

Good stuff.

I didn't watch - at all, as I was on the road, but I heard NPH was a big hit. I'll try to catch some of the highlights on YouTube.

I've read several reviews for the show and they all loved NPH, but not many seem to be mentioning our favorite internet upstarts. As usual, they are more concerned by what people are wearing.
