Time for a new addition to the ongoing saga of Browncoat purdyness!

If you're so inclined, please post a picture of yourself so we can all see who we talk to here

Please try to avoid very large images that stretch and break the thread.

How to post images here: http://www.fireflyfans.net/mthread.asp?b=5&t=29479
(Short version: Image must be hosted somewhere on the internet and all you need is the URL. Photobucket, imageshack, and flickr are your friends. See above-linked thread for further details, or click 'reply with quote' to see how others have done it.)
Also, PLEASE NOTE: the tutorial thread is an excellent resource and we don't want it to get overloaded and weighed down. Please test your image posts in one of the many 'test' threads scattered over the board, particularly out of the way in troll country, or start your own to help keep the tutorial nice and easy to load.

Well, as we may all know, this weekend was DragonCon, traditional hotspot of Browncoat activity, particularly for many of our members here. I was there, I've come home (much to my regret) and I have a few pics to post.
Please understand this is not a thread exclusively for DragonCon photos, and anyone who wishes to post is welcome to, but there will be quite an abundance of con photos on this thread, just because that's where so many of us have been.

This one is from my flight, on which I was treated to a lovely sunset. The bright circle there is the moon, first semi-clear shot I've ever been able to get of it when it's been that far dark

And this one is from the firing range some of us went to the next morning

Props to Steamer for getting that shot of the muzzle flash

And then this one, which popped out as a big favorite when I was looking through my camera

Props to Roxy for taking this one

Okay, that's all I have for the moment, I think. Post, comment, chat, have fun!

(Thanks Steamer!)

Well, I'm workin - walkin the night watch for one of my sites, since it saves gas cause I can walk to it, and I just sit in the park in between rounds.
And of course I befriended all the local wildlife, but they're not inclined to hold STILL for pictures, save for some of the residents cats, one of whom is a large ham, heee.

So, some visuals from the eyes of a nightwatchman.

First, Kallista, hangin out in the office, she's none too pleased about it either since she had to work too, we had a mouse around, eatin our paperwork.

Here's the borgmatic, aka mechanical limb, that I use on-duty, complete with air pressure shock absorber and bunches of adjustment points.

This here, is one of the security lights, and one of the bunnies - can't hardly see it cause getting close enough for the flash to work is hard being that they're nervous types.

On the other hand, you got Nitwit the kitty, who has utterly no sense of self preservation and will gleefully charge right into the middle of the road to greet me.

And I did mention he was a bit of a ham, yes ?

Noobie on the other hand is a bit more shy.

Here she is waiting for the mouse to come back out from under the rock.

This here is one of the cherry trees around in the place, got a couple of those and some apple trees too, which is what the local wildlife eats, some of em.

And here's this boogly friggin spider who was next to my keybox last night, so I took a pic while waiting for him to move AWAY from it, yick!

And here he is again, from another angle, creepin up on some big green bug who's about to have a really bad day.

Nature's kinda hardcore sometimes, just ask those poor dumb raccoons who tried to set up shop behind building #15 about a week ago after the bunnies chased em out of the park - and then ran smack into a VERY territorial skunk, ewwww!

We'll see about more, especially come winter cause it's so very pretty at night, especially with the snow crystals blowing across the security floodlights beaming from the building sides.

Ain't no "purdyness", but here's a few (I hate pix of me and most of the photos I take are of animals/flowers/etc.)

Tashi and I hiking when he was a pup:

The day I picked him up from the airport (I had a broken arm at the time...perfect thing to get just before you get an 8-week-old husky pup!)

Us now on a hike:

I put out food for birds, hummers and squirrels..this little grey wanted some of the bird food; if you look above and to the left, you'll see the hanging squirrel feeder, and he's standing on the bridge squirrel feeder, but none of that was good enough for him!

Initially I just had bird feeders out, until the squirrels began to come and steal from them...

So I filled the biggest bird feeder with sunflower seeds and built one on the bridge (can't use the bridge one anymore...rats have also discovered us and I've been battling them for several years)

We have one red who shows up every morning without fail...he actually gets a bit pissed at me if I don't put the feeders out early enough (have to take them in overnight...rats)

We've had as many as three reds and two greys out there at the same time, vying for the feeders. We ADORE them! Grey on hanging feeder, red on bridge:

They sure are beautiful, especially up close, especially the greys

Upon seeing this photo, my husband is suddenly very, very, very, very, very sad that we didn't get to go after all. But, we still watched the Shatner/Nemoy panel, so we did get some Dragon*Con-age in this weekend.
