I can't believe they didn't get Nathan to do the narration on the "Heat Wave" audio book. What was the thinking behind that? Does anyone know whether there are any plans to bring out the first season DVD of "Castle" on Region 2 for Europe (I am in the UK)? Would be neat if Nathan came over and did some book signings here as well. It is great reading the chapters online but so wish I could see the show!

I watched it online (I'm in the UK too!) via torrent downloads, but if you don't do those then I'd check out www.watchcastleonline.com

That was my first thought too.. what's the point in having it be a " Rick Castle" book if Nathan's not reading it?? Well now I don't think I want it...

I'm sorry, but I have to also jump in here and say that it makes not sense at all to have someone else voice the audio book. Especially since Nathan has fans from the latest DC Wonder Woman movie and other voicework he has done such as.......

**** HALO ****

Hello? Are the folks at ABC idiots? Voice work for one of the largest selling games out there isn't small potaotes. The preorders for ODST is huge and has already passed the Niki heat sales by far. I'm waiting for the day that Nathan drops by on a Halo panel at any of the Cons & gaming Conventions.

And it's because I get distracted by Nathan voice in Halo 3 which is why I can't finish the gorram game. And Bungi can also Thank Nathan for bring more Ladies to the world of Halo (yes, its true!)

I'm going to think that Richard Castle is too busy following Beckett around to voice the book...so he asked his friend Nathan Fillion to do it for free and Nathan said "NO!". Castle said "but you read 3 chapters of PJ's book for free. " Nathan said "Castle, you are just not that good of a friend." Hangs up phone.

It makes sense that Nathan is not reading the book. I think if you take a look out there, you'll find very very few authors that read their own books.

Aside from that, Nathan is working 12+ hours a day filming Castle and likely doesn't have time to fit it into his schedule.

[Edited because I was way meaner than I should have been in that reply. Very sorry]

I have a few audiobooks read by the author, including Douglas Adams, Tamora Pierce, and Neil Gaiman. There's an interview with Neil Gaiman at the end of the audio recording of "Stardust" where he talks about how much fun he had recording it.

How would I know how many hours a day Nathan is working?

I'm sorry Spacegirl, I didn't mean that to sound harsh.
