It's definitely not a Joss issue; I've read in interviews about Asian-American actors having trouble finding (i.e., not even being considered by casting directors for) roles that call for more than just "doing snap-kicks."

okay, not to be too picky. what what percent of Romans made up of the Roman Empire? and what Percent of east asia (not counting the majority of the russians) makes up the earth's population?

not to say that there's no validity to your statement, but unless the America side of the Alliance brought "small pox" to the Asia side, I'm having a bit of a hard time convincing myself about this situation.

I think the point here is that Roman culture was heavily entrenched among the former Gauls by the time the Empire crumbled.

in Edmonton celebrate Chinese New Year's with a lot more effort than the one on Dec 31/Jan 1. I don't think I'd be mistaken for being of Asian descent, but I'm delighted to participate in various cultural events and practises I've picked up over the years, not the least of which is the wonder of a good pair of chopsticks and easy-to-eat, delicious food.
