Not actually fail. It is like a doctor prescribing treatments. The symptoms could have been caused any number of problems. Each time I returned to the support people, they realised the last attempt failed and they tried something new. It appears, Traveler says with his fingers crossed, that they found the cure. If it should fail again I can return and they will try something else. The third try actually took less time and effort then the first two. I got the impression I was dealing with someone with more background. And I, also, was learning. So I worked better as a team, with this last person, then I had with the first two.
This last person gave me a weeks extension on my license. Rather silly when you know there are 52 weeks in a year and it cost about $50.00. So were talking one dollar.
But it is the thought that counts. And they are very polite and patient.
It is just good to know I have protection. There have been periods where I will get reports of a Trojan virus attack on a weekly basis. Those Trojans can be nasty.

makes sense ^_^
ooh, do you have Avast? or Zone Alarm? they're pretty decent at stopping what tries to get on your comp. They're noisy about it, but they do the job, lol.

I have Norton by Symantec. It came with the softaware package with this machine. They have done good work for me.

My niece Stella only 3 and 1/2 but a huge personality in a petite package (though according to her "I'm really not huge but I'm much bigger than babies and most of my friends")she's a natural crack up, and I'm not just talking as her devoted aunty. Everyone thinks she's a crack up. most of the time she's funny without meaning to be but occasionally she's deliberately funny in a not so preschooler way Eg: On a video my brother sent an adult friend asked her what she thought about some prints in a book. Her response: "w-elll they're very Jackson Pollock aren't they?" Him: You know Jackson Pollock's work?"
Her, rolling her eyes melodramatically and fixing him with a pitying stare " Who doesn't?" days later I asked her about it and she giggled hysterically and admitted Jackson Pollock was the only artist she knew, and she's read about him in one of her "Olivia" books she said she said what she did as she knew it would make me laugh. I did

grrr my "courtesy interview" got rescheduled for tomorrow. I got all dressed up for nothing. Now I gotta pick out a new outfit for tomorrow. I vote we abolish clothes. Who's with me?

Not sure about the clothing abolition Zeek. Maybe just the need for dressing up for stuff. There are way too many people (myself included) in the world that need to keep their clothes on and/or may need more clothes.

The country is making a big mistake not teaching kids to cook and raise a garden and build fires.

I am one of those people who need to keep my clothes on. I am like one of those hairy muppets on Sesame Street. None of the other men in my family are hairy, so I do not know where it comes from. All I know is if you sheer me you could weave a carpet. Nice and warm in the winter.

Pssh you clothsies. You're just saying that cause you've been brainwashed by the man. If you'd never worn clothes before you wouldn't think you need them.

Dress codes do change. My father worked for the railroad. This meant that he had to travel quit a bit to the various locations the railroad served. He was expected not only to wear a suit and tie, but his shirts had to be white, a colored shirt was considered to casual, and when outside he had to wear a hat. This was a prime directive. This lasted into the sixties. My dad looked like an FBI agent. Companies have gotten more casual now. I am in the engineering field and we are not required to wear ties unless of major visit from one of our customers are expected. Even sales and purchasing are going without ties in recent years. I personally do not engage with any customers, but I am expected to wear a good pair of slacks and a shirt. Because I entered the factory I needed to wear steel toed shoes. I got tired of changing in and out of them and simply made my steel toed shoes part my regular attire. Since no one looks at your feet much, I was never criticized for this even though they looked like combat boots.
