Went through the Universal Studios ride once, years ago. Was horrified to see "Max" from Flight of the Navigator, laying at an angle, covered with dust, rust, and grime, hatch gaping open like a wound.

I was unaware, until I just checked imdb, that Paul Reubens was the voice of 'Max'.

The corporate lawyers won't let it leave their possession, since that would be abandonment of that copyright.
A signed contract would fix that, but the lawyers would charge $100,000 fee to write it.

Hey CLJ, just saw this post - lottsa love for Alien. It had that look, Ridley Scott, wow. So many unexpected and pioneering film events in that movie. I think even Firefly owes some of it's look in part to what they did with that film.
