I tried to come up with a post for tonight, but I failed. I just can't think of how to move without seeming to preempt the captain, which is totally NOT in character for Lincoln.

We're just going to be patient and move at whatever speed Defiant can manage for the time being.

Sorry folks, please don't loose interest. I'm still here and I still plan on keeping it going.

hmm. Even if we keep posting at the same rate- given the time it took to get to this point, I figure the boarding/unboarding/"goin on our merry"
sequence may take a while. Either that, or we may have to write multiple complicated player controlled PC-NPC interactions as single posts.

Hey, y'all! I don't know where everybody else is at, but last week I started the semester AND got a job, and some days I haven't even been able to do much more than check my email (and I definitely haven't gotten around to reading the most recent posts). I don't remember having this much homework last year, but I guess that's college for ya.

Anyway, while I really do want to continue playing, school and work come first, and I don't expect I'll have any time to RP. I wish things had worked out better, but I think my schedule's only going to get even more hectic as time goes on. It was fun while it lasted, though.

Hope everything works out for y'all.

Sorry folks, for my lack of attentions.

Yeah we're at a standstill alright. I'm still interested and honestly at the moment I'm bored out of my skull. But we have so many of us who aren't active or have left, it's too daunting to figure out how to continue without them. I mean it wouldn't be fair to just act like they never existed? Also stupid and far to dark to kill them off, plenty unneeded death already. Also it's not easily plausible that they just leave at the moment. I supposed Ainsley could wig out and ditch us in the shuttle, would be interesting to have just one shuttle and would give us a good bit of difficulty, which is a nice motivator for storytelling.

But my personal opinion is this. Spontaneous, unscripted RPs like this have the same Achilles heel as planned ones, if you lose enough people at the same time it's nearly impossible to proceed in a reasonable or satisfying way. So far this has been the outcome of every RP I've played and frankly this time it's been a hard blow.

Regardless of my status as temporary GM this is still Defiant's deal here. He's hardly said more than three words to me(one at a time) in over a month. He's THAT busy and stresses from his real life seem to have dulled his interest greatly, but I can't speak for him, only what I feel. In any case he's not here and probably won't be for some time. I hope he doesn't mind me saying so, but I can't very well just say nothing about it.

Surreal is still around, if you feel the urge to RP feel free to start one there, even a tiny one would be enough to keep us busy. Over there anything goes, doesn't have to be Scifi or Steampunk or even anything in the realm of Speculative Fiction.

Anyway folks... I know we all love Defiant and hoped for fun and engaging RP but apparently it's not going to work at the moment. Don't give up hope, it could pick back up tomorrow or November... I really have no clue, but it's not dead. My advice is find something to do and keep checking back once and awhile. I'll try to PM you all here or at Surreal if we get going again.
