At the risk of interrupting the Monty Python parade...

VOY was my least favourite of what I call the 24th Century Treks - but I like it better than TOS (blasphemy I know) and ENT. I thought Enterprise was getting it together by the end, but it was too late. The first two seasons were unbelievably boring, IMHO. And too many humans.

As for favourite VOY character/arc, I would agree with Tom Paris - he was likeable and flawed in a way that humans in Trek rarely are. And it was a fulfilling arc to watch him go from scoundrel to happy husband (and father). I also liked that he and Torres had an ongoing relationship with all its ups and downs.

But DS9 still rules all the Treks (let the flame war begin! ).

So, has anybody been reading the Voyager Relaunch?

(Not technically a Voyager book, but it's centred around 7/9 and Adm. Janeway.)

The first few books were rough (Golden had to retcon that out-of-character mess of a finale), but with the Spirit Walk duology, the storyline's been getting a second wind.

Then Full Circle came along and started up a completely new storyline --Voyager's "Season 9" looks like it's gonna be bigger than ever. Nothing will ever be the same again, and I can't wait for Unworthy to drop in October.

Thanks for those links - I have been reading those books, and was beginning to despair that there wouldn't be another.

However, I am [bold]not impressed[/bold] with Peter David for Before Dishonor.

DS9!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You can't be serious, the Dominion, who the hell would believe that garbage. I admit that DS9 is esential for any trek fan, but as far as being the best, hello one word. DELTA QUADRENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *WE ARE THE BORG, YOUR BIOLOGICAL AND TECHNOLOGICAL DISTINCTIVNESS WILL BE ADDED TO OUR OWN, RESISTANCE IS FUTILE!!* OH YEAH? WELL SUCK ON SOME TERMINATOR.... AAAAGGGGHHHHH!!!

(Ten minutes later)

I'm back, the BORG are dumb. I beat them with pink fluffy pillows, with all the trimings.

"Full Circle" was one of my favorite books in recent trek readings, i like the whole spliting Tom and B'Elanna part, for necessity of course, and having them on the path to reconciliation. But i hate killing Janeway off, but not as much as when in star wars books, they killed off Chewbacka, Anakin Solo, and Mara Jade Skywalker( Lukes wife).
