The Brown Coats Shall Rise Again!I have been speaking with some friends of mine with the sci fi network (scifi channel) Sci fi is thinking of picking up the show and doing with it what they did with Stargate Sg-1... So lets all keep our fingers crossed!

Hmmm, Universal and SciFi are all owned by the same conglomerate. All they have to do is buy out the tv rights from 20th-Century Fox.

Stargate switched channels (Showtime to SciFi) but MGM remained the producing company.

I hope your friends are on to something.

Yeah , I just recently got into the show.. I am a civil war reenactor and a myfriend's wife told me about this great show that mixes 19th victorian with modern chinese. Being a buddhist and an ex army ranger , i was totally into it , so she let me borrow the dvd set , i was hooked , and then yes i'll admit it heartbroken not to get an ending. I finished the series today , so of course i immediately sent out emails to all of my friends in high places!! I'll keep ya all updated as the info comes in.

We have to get this show back on the air , its a hell of a lot better than all of the gorram out there today! I love how the Brown coats resmemble the southern cause.. lol my email address is sgtjbtomsey@aol.com for anyone who wants to email me directly

While I'd love for it to happen, I've been burned too many times before by people who have unspecified inside knowledge, so I'm not getting my hopes up.

Hey! Great News well not so good but a good oportunity! my friend from sci fi gave me an email address. He said to flood them with emails , asking for them to pick up the show. He said that if they get a large enough volume his team can make a large push to get it on the air again even make new ones! So please people he is doing this as a personal favor to me so send emails out the waz zoo!!

I just heard some rumors about SciFi considering picking up Firefly and I wanted to chime in with my support for this wonderful, intelligent, unconventional show. Fox never gave the show a chance with their schedule changes and preemptions every other week but they were proven wrong with the hundreds of thousands of DVD sets sold and of course the recent greenlighting of the Firefly-based movie, Serenity. Please seriously consider bringing Firefly back to television -- the SciFi network could pull off a HUGE coup with this show and bring even non-mainstream SF fans into the network in droves.

Incidentally, your friends at sci fi network do know of the over 200,000 DVD box sets sold, correct? Would additional information, such as a collection of all the positive reviews and press mentions, help? I think I saw a thread around here somewhere where someone tried to compile 'em all.

sent an email. i say we send a tidal wave of emails in their direction. it absolutely makes no sense why the "SCI-FI channel" doesnt have firefly in its lineup.
