an interesting little fact that no one has mentioned......dark angel was cancelled so that they could make...firefly!
so which one would you rather season 3 of dark angel or season 1 of firefly?
(also season 2 was almost ruined because of that BITCH (get it!) joshua, i hated him!)

My personal opinion is they should have moved Dark Angel back to monday's, and put Firefly on like a tuesday slot, or right after Dark Angel, ya know get the DA fans, and the Firefly fans, and the added late night scifi junkies, (Like me), and se what happens. If it didn't work out, show reruns of the shows in the daytime, and sitch the days around a little, maybe get rid of bitch ass shows.
And by the way, Johsua may have been a bad character, but would Max have gotten out without him?

The Pilot for Firefly was cast in March 2002 and done by May. The decision to cancel Dark Angel had been much later than that, as I understood. I've heard much denial that DA and FF was not an either/or situation, their decisions were independent, the correlation only exists as a result of the time slot they ended up sharing in sequential years.
I am not sold on the claim that DA died becuase of FF.

Check it, you are talking about the original pilot, not "The Train Job", FOX was not even going to pick up FF with it's original pilot, Whedon and his crew went back and made a new pilot, "The Train Job", and sent it out, a few days before FOX announced it's decision to cancel DA, and pick up FF,then FOX accepted the original pilot as an ep, and put it on. About 13 eps, and half a year later, DA and FF were gone from FOX.

I loved Dark Angel-but then I could watch Jessica Alba read the breakfast menu at Denny's-and I felt ripped off when they killed the show(@#$king FOX!).
Right when it was getting REAL interesting(Lydecker ,the in-house bloodletting at HIS employer's HQ,the raid on the base,etc.)those FOOLS cancelled the show,and with it Prime Time Jessica Alba viewing-THOSE BASTARDS!!...OK,all better now(resumes offering burnt offerings to the Altar of Alba).
