I always liked:

But then, there are so many good quotes it's hard to choose less than a dozen favourites!

It's so all purpose that I've used it a number of times with out anyone figuring out where it's from, but knowing it got to be a quote from somewhere.

Check out the shooting script (or a writer's draft), not the transcript. "To cleave"...great nuance to that.
