Well, today, I am convinced that we are not alone. This weekend I had to go up to the camp that I work at for a work weekend. During one of our breaks, I got to mentioning Firefly to one of my friends at camp that I went up through the program with since we were CITs only to find out that he was a fellow Browncoat too. He had seen the show when it was on TV and bought it when it came out on DVD this winter.

This convinces me now that we Browncoats are not alone and that there are many more of us out there then we can even imagine.

Well, since me and him were going stay Saturday night at the camp, I had to go back into town to pick up some things (sleeping bag and pillow being the most important) and picked up my Firefly DVD set. That night we put it in and watched The Message and Out of Gas and maybe converted four or more others to Firefly.

The main question from those that were watching was "why was this cancelled?"

I now plan to convert the entire staff at my camp. At least now I have a partner to do it with me.

Oh, and play Cantr II at www.cantr.net.

There are tons of us out there because; to steal from another thing Adam Baldwin was in “Inside every reality TV viewer there is a Browncoat fighting to get out!”

I am convinced that there are a lot more Browncoats out there in the world than we suspect. I think a lot of them either aren't aware of the boards, they are lurkers, they don't have internet access, or simply just don't post on message boards for one reason or another.

Figures put the DVD sales somewhere around the 200,000 mark. No way did all of those copies get bought by the browncoats here and at the OB alone. I think we will never really know just how many are out there.

And neither will FOX!

Any production done with Fireflys' where-with-all has an audience. That is, good movies, TV shows, and such will always have viewers. The only reason we get crap like Reality TV is simply that "producers" are against hiring talent in favour of ... well, reality TV. And btw, calling it "reality TV" is like calling my ass a fruit roll-up.
