Hi, new here, but I had to ask you guys what you thought of this. I was looking at tvguide.com to see what was coming up for future firefly episodes. They let you look upto 2weeks in advace. Anyway, i click on friday nov 22nd 8pm and what do i see?! HAPPY GILMORE. WTF!!!!!!!! At first I thought i hit 8am... but no it was 8pm. Then I said.. ok maybe they moved it to monday or wednesday.. I looked through that whole week and its not there.
Please tell me this is an error on tv guides part, or maybe they decided not to show it on friday because its going to start fresh on the following monday at 9pm in the girls club timeslot. Please...pretty please.
If fox was smart, they would show the 2 hour Serenity pilot on Monday the 25th and give the show a huge shot at winning new viewers on monday nights. I guess Ill have to wait till monday to find out whats playing on the 25th. I just wanted to vent

Well, we can be pretty sure this isn't a sign of Firefly getting cancelled, since it affects John Doe just as much. So it would have to be a mass cancellation, which doesn't sound very likely to me. But still, I have no idea why they're putting an old Adam Sandler movie in that slot. I can tell you this much: My TV's getting a well-deserved rest that night.

I know for the last several weeks, on the fox's page, there's a three week break between 'Ariel' and 'War Stories.' I thought they might play reruns during that hiatus, but I guess not. :(

This seems like a great way to build a struggling shows audience...preempt it!
One more example of why everyone hates Fox.

This is the week "8 Crazy Nights" is released. Presumably, this is an effort on Fox's part to build an audience for the release of Sandler's new animated film... you know, a cross-promotional deal.
Don't worry about this. The oficial site even lists a week between new episodes. No worries!

It's called a sweeps stunt. Not unlike the sweeps stunts that pre-empted Dark Angel before it.
Nov. 29 will be ep. 9, Dec. 6th 10, Dec. 13 11, Dec. 20 "Serenity", then...who knows?

Actually "Firefly" and "John Doe" will be pre-empted again on November 29 for the telefilm "The Brady Bunch in the White House." New episodes for both shows will resume on December 6.

"The Brady Bunch in the White House??" O_o That's like when they pre-empted the second showing of the Doctor Who movie to rerun "Revenge of the Nerds II." No sense of class.
Inside every cynic there's an idealist desperately yearning to be let out, and when they are let out they're usually a real pain and cause all sorts of trouble. --Chris Boucher

For what? The What in the Where? [insert expletive deleted here]

Oy! I can understand Thanksgiving-type programming preempting them, since screwy stuff always happens over the holidays anyway, but the @3&%!! Brady Bunch?

And Fox wonders why we think they all have the collective IQ of a goldfish.
