He was a freak, but I've never been convinced that he was a pedophile. I think it may have been possible that he like sleeping in the same bed with young kids without there being anything sexual about it. Did you ever go to a slumber party as a kid? A sleepover? Was it about sex?

Thing is, I think for most of his adult life, MJ was still trying to have a happy childhood. He never really got to be a kid or do the things kids do, and I think he might have just been trying to have a "normal" childhood, but was years late doing it.

'Course, that's just a theory. I wasn't crazy about his music either, but that man sure as hell could dance.

Once again, the enablers of personal self-destruction prey on a cult of personality. Michael was the walking dead for the last few years, and I feel sad that he has died. His whole family fed off of him like leeches, and now they will likely all trip over themselves to get whatever they can out of his estate.

I'm just sad for his kids at this point. They're innocent and yet they'll be at the center of many a legal battle for years to come.

I gotta admit, though. I must've been behind on my pop-culture because I knew about Prince Michael and Paris, but the third child . . . Blanket. You gotta be kidding me. BLANKET?

Press sez he's $400 million in hock, my guess is the family will have to wait until all the bills are paid.

I feel sorry for his genuine family and loved ones that he's left behind but I can't feel sorry for him.

He may not have been found guilty of anything but he wasn't found innocent either. And if you are genuinely innocent you don't pay people off. To me that says a lot.
The guy was warped and should have been in some kind of institute years ago, not acting as a role model for the younger generations.

I can't say that I'm glad he's dead (I wouldn't want that for most people) but I certainly won't miss him in anyway.

Guess this means we'll be getting an Ultimate Greastest Hits release. That'll rake some cash in to pay off his debts.

Were you ever many times older than the other kids at the sleepover?

Ah - so it's your position that children cannot sleep in the same bed as adults without the adults molesting them, eh? Does that apply to your own kids sleeping in your bed, or are you only sexually attracted to other people's children?

So you would agree that out-of-court settlements should be introduced into evidence as proof of guilt, then? Rich people and rich corporations ROUTINELY pay people off to make them go away, because they don't want to go through the hassle of a trial and the discovery portion of it. Remember, that's where Jack Ryan's sex-club proclivities came out in his divorce from actress Jeri Ryan, which is what led to Barrack Obama becoming a senator. Ryan *could have* gone with a no-fault divorce, but decided he wanted to go to court, and every little detail about his life was brought up.

I don't think Jackson was a saint, but I'm not sure he was the monster that he's been portrayed as, either. Was he freaky? Yup. If I had kids, would I let them stay at Neverland? Nope. But that doesn't PROVE anything.

Guy's dead, so you angry mob can put down your pitchforks and torches already.
