Hey folks, anyone out there know where I can get some metal greeblies to convert my Denix Lemat? I'm currnetly in contact with sidewinder on the RPF but the $196.20 he quoted me might be a little outta my price range. Is that a standard price to pay for the conversion kit or have people found it cheaper? Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!

Just remember you get what you pay for.
I've never heard a bad word about Sidewinder's work.

Oh I definitley didn't mean to disparage any of Sidewinder's work, I'm just not sure if I can afford the price he quoted me right now and want to know what other options might be more viable for my current financial situation. I've seen pics of some of Sidewinder's finished conversions and drooled over them excessively. S'why I came to him first =D
He didn't have any bits already made so I might try and talk him into letting me start an interest thread for him for another run if that'll helps the cost of things.

Got a photo? I'll see what I can find, though that may be the right price.
I'm seriously contemplating making a modern, working leMat.

Hi Mike, thanks for the reply. Your best bet for a real working Lemat is to get one of Cabella's Naval Lemat reproductions. Here's a pic of one:
It's the same as the base for Jayne's Lemat. I'm working on finding a good shot of Jayne's Lemat and I'll post it up as soon as I've found one. Stay Shiny!

By "Modern" I mean cartridge--9 .357s around a .410 should do it.
