It sounds to me like they've told this story or "storys" before. First ship, virus, 10 year mission, they're recycling plots from other films and TV shows. Atleast that's what I think.

Sounds like a space odyssey, for sure.

Maybe they'll emphasize the mystery of it, like a whodunnit in space.

It hasn't been picked up for series, and I doubt it will be. They are just burning off the pilot film in the doldrums of summer.
