I am so gratified to read more CharlieBZ love! Let me brag on her a little - she's working on the latest chapter of her latest post-BDM arc, and it is gooooooood. Lots of great, character-true action and developments, I get excited just hearing what she's outlined. Stay tuned, kiddos!

Authors whose fics I've loved: malgalfan, valerie bean, Who's That Girl (come on guys! - of course!), phyrelight, kaynara, Arcadia, 2x2. GillianRose, Bytemite, cliosmuse. I like reading it sometimes but I do have a problem with fluff: Joss might sometimes tickle you under the chin, but that's just only before he rips out your jugular (emotionally-speaking of course).
Yeah, that's pretty much where I am too with Jane0904, Angellemarcs, and Briglad, mostly read the one shots. Did read Briglad's first book, though, and Jane0904's first two or three Freya books. :)

Hey, thanks for the shout-out, Aliasse! I assumed no one would remember my fics, as they were posted a long while ago! An honorable mention by you is just shiny! :) As for me, in addition to several mentioned, I was sort of drawn to your work Jolene! All dark Mal and healer Inara. Compelling reads!

Yeah, Jolene, as I recall, you took Mal to one of the most believeably dark moods I'd seen yet post-Serenity, and then Inara's offer... :) I love where you went with that in the follow-ups. Yay Inara!
And then I remember in your stories, Malgalfan, the deal Inara makes to leave the guild and the consequences...

Thanks for the update GillanRose! When CharilieBZ finishes her wonderful story.....only then can I feel like I said "Good-bye" to the BDH.
I don't believe we will see another Firefly/ Serentiy on the big screen or even little screen so I have turned to fanfiction to fullfill desire for more stories of the 'verse.
And Dollhouse just doesn't move me like Firefly did....sorry. I tired but it just isn't the same.

I forgot one of the oldies but goodies - LeeH. He wrote Aftermath in 2006 based on Lex Talionis by another great author TaraLJ I think. Great Mal psychological study.

Maybe she does throw Wash and Mal together post war before Serenity, and it's not perfectly canon, but it's still some of the best Mal POW imagining that I've read so far.
