Immortal (2004) is a computer animated flick with some human actors in it, based on a French comic book, and directed by the creator of the comic itself.
What a crazy movie, it's like Fifth Element on LDS.
I bought it for $10 at Target, but whether you buy it or rent it, y'all must see it IMO. Itz nutz.

No, I'm still too captivated with imagining Fifth Element being filmed at a Latter Day Saints compound...

But as soon as I get over that, I'll check it out!

I have seen it! Although my copy was called Immortel (ad vitam) or something...
But yeah, to be honest, I can't remember it all that much, I saw it back in around 2005 or 2006 when it first came out here. I seem to remember it being fairly awesome. Plus it has Thomas Kretschmann in it, and he's always really good.
And a giant floating pyramid...
and a weird egyptian god guy...
I really need to watch it again.

Yeah, but you liked The Princess Bride, too.

i think this topic has been around before...
anyway, i did like this movie - and just a little more information about it... the movie is based on the Nikopol Trilogy (1999) "Carnival of the Immortals/The Woman Trap/Equator Cold" written by Enki Bilal that was featured in Heavy Metal in the mid '80's (i think).
Bilal also directed the film.
The similarities to Fifth Element, could be due to the fact that Luc Besson (writter & director of FE) was heavily influenced by the work of Bilal.
Fifth Element
Immortal (ad vitam)
the only real similarity between the two movies (that i see) is mainly in the background/setting and, of course, the 'air taxi'
Immortal is either a very thought-provoking film or just eye-candy - depending on your perspective .... It had me scratching my head for a while.
On the other hand, I thought Fifth Element was, or at least devolved into, a totally nonsensical cartoon.. Multipass...
