Just curious Signy and Rue...
You two bowing out now because Obama wasn't the answer to the problems? It's not so cool when the side you've been pulling for puts a knife in your back too, is it? (Or when the side you've been against finally falls and nothing changes)
I'd stick around if I were the both of you. It's important to have a voice from where you both come from as well.

I don't honestly believe that Rue or Signy thought that Obama was "the answer" or "The One" or "The Messiah" - that seems to be a frame of mind that has been entirely made up by those on the right.
I never thought Obama was "the answer" - I thought he was the lesser of two evils. I still think he was the better choice than "the other guy" - and the way the Rethugnicans are treating that sad, poor old man, they agree with me.

Rue and Signy were two of my favorite posters, two people I could be reasonably assured would post something smart and appropriate when RWED would descend into depressing agony. (Curiously, the third one would be SgtX...) I may not have waded into the quagmire here much, but I really apreciated their posts.
I guess that just leaves Cisall and his reverence-grenades.

Though I disagree that he was the lesser of two evils, we're at least on the same page that they're both evil.
Perhaps I'm wrong about the conclusion I came to on which side they came from. I just find it curious that NOW is the time they chose to bow out.
I won't take offense to the fact that you seem to put me in with the "right" side. Surely that's not what you were really suggesting there.
