There are several ways to create an autovoter. I've heard of guys renting a botnet (very illegal and not recommended, even for browncoats) and using a script to have each zombie PC vote every six hours. The proxy address would work the same way, but I believe the sites that provide free proxy addresses would be on the watch for that, as they mainly provide a service for individuals wanting to surf the net anonymously. There's also the possibility that someone hacked the TVTally site.

Lastly, the Jericho fans may have a message board where they have a lot of fans who can be mobilized in an emergency. But that seems unlikely, as it would be discussed openly.

Speaking of that, do you have the URL for Jericho fan site messageboards? I'm also short on time, but I can go over and check the message traffic for clues. It's hard to keep these things secret, and the solution may be buried in their message traffic.

And they appear to have over 150 active users, but not much regular TVTally vote chatter.

There is no notice, much less discussion, of where all there votes ate coming from, at their

site. If the autovoter is hanging out anywhere, it must be somewhere else. Usually, these guys like to get at least a little recognition for their efforts. But first we have to find where he, or she, hangs out.

We gained -1,048 votes on Jericho in the week ending May 11 (198 the previous week). Overall the total vote at the beginning of the week is Jericho 67,847 (64,402 last week), Firefly 66,327 (63,930 last week). In January, we were over 2,000 votes behind. But a year ago, we were ahead. Over the last few months, we have been closing the gap.
If you turn off cookies on your browser, when you go to TVTally, you can vote up to three (used to be six) times (and for more than one show, or all for one show). You can also vote more than once in six hours (unpredictable, tends to happen early in the day, and after 6 PM). Some consider this cheating, some don't.
