We gained 198 votes on Jericho in the week ending May 4 (195 the previous week). Overall the total vote at the beginning of the week is Jericho 64,402 (59,601 last week), Firefly 63,930 (58,931 last week). In January, we were over 2,000 votes behind. But a year ago, we were ahead. Over the last few months, we have been closing the gap.
If you turn off cookies on your browser, when you go to TVTally, you can vote up to three (used to be six) times (and for more than one show, or all for one show). You can also vote more than once in six hours (unpredictable, tends to happen early in the day, and after 6 PM). Some consider this cheating, some don't. Either you're a cookie monster, or you ain't.
At Stargate ( http://stargate-news.com/sci-fi-poll-best-in-science-fiction.html) we are at 42.7 (42.5 yesterday) percent today, and 1333 votes, for the best SciFi movie. Vote for Firefly as well as Serenity (where we have 26.3 percent of the vote and Red Dwarf has 23, versus 26.3 and 23 yesterday).
At BBC ( http://newsvote.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/entertainment/6517155.stm) today we are; Serenity 42.64% Star Wars 29.23% Blade Runner 16.95% Planet of the Apes 1.80% The Matrix 9.38% 43068 Votes Cast
In the last 24 hours there were FIVE votes. Yuck
Back on September 5th it was Serenity 39.53% Star Wars 30.83% Blade Runner 17.87% Planet of the Apes 1.90% The Matrix 9.87% , with 40635 Votes Cast

Apparently there was some problem getting into Stargate News in the last 24 hours, because there were fewer (but still some) votes entered in that period. I had no problem getting in just now.

I don't even know how the original autovote program worked, but it's more than just clearing cookies and voting again. There has to be a way to fool the site into thinking it's coming from a new IP address. There are lots of proxy sites out there, but the regular way the votes go up when they've got it running going up one vote at a time instead of three says it's not just someone browsing through any list of proxy sites...

What Would Mal Do?
In Heart of Gold he gave a bunch of "working ladies" guns and sacrificed a few of them to beat Rance's high-tech gun. More than once with the Reavers he just crossed his fingers that they wouldn't notice him. And with the Alliance he'd moon 'em. I don't recall him ever buying a bigger gun to equal the firepower.
But he also didn't work alone, and I sure can't keep up with an autovoter by myself. I've got a life, unlike some of the Jericho voters...
