I feel the same way about the English language. I love it, but classes can make it very dry.
One more day before my semester is over. I still have two style sheets to write. Ugh.

Congrats on the apartment! My fiancee lives in Canada, so we're still on the "Get enough money so she can immigrate" step of things @_@

The country is making a big mistake not teaching kids to cook and raise a garden and build fires.

Bless Sir Daughter the Brave Kel! Head injuries hurt ... you can still see where I had stitches on the top of my where someone (-looks pointedly at older brother-) bit me that time [tbh it was kinda my fault .. but I was 3 .. it couldn't be helped!]
HUGs to EVERYONE
Quote:That my view also, I'm still doing music now. Not an essay, but composition. PLUS doing Music Technology ... I'm mixing a recording I did earlier in the month. All my coursework has to be in this Friday .. quite honestly, I'm bricking it. :/

Music is my life. I can honestly say that there is not a single moment that I'm not doing something music-related. Even now at 8 30 in the morning, just woken up, I've got a song going thru my head as I type. Yet I've noticed that a lot of these music classes, especially music history, kinda kill it for me.
On the other hand, I have a pretty immense song stuck in my head. Stuck for the Summer by Two Hours Traffic (off the album Little Jabs) xD
Oh, and I think I know what uni I'm going to choose for my first option xD

Ha! I did that today! I was doing a lecture on Breeding and Genetics today and used this as an opening slide:

I then had to explain that no, they weren't actually brothers!
I also have a loop of my favorite LOLs as a screen saver. It came on today on the big screen as I'd been talking too long! It was such a hit that I have found a new positive reinforcement for good behaviour. If they do 10 mins of work they get 2 LOLs! It works better than bribery by chocolate!
Yup, teachers are taking over the world, one LOL at a time!

Wow! Majorly impressed ... I wish my Philosophy teacher'd do that. It might stop me from falling asleep in his lessons. I don't mean to, but his voice makes whatever he reads sound like a fairytale before bed type thing, and I just start drifting ... plus, I really don't care about what he has to say anymore. We both know that I'm not gonna do well in either exam (one of them being a retake of the previous module too - I only just scraped an E on it, one less mark and I would've been reading a U) thus we both know I'm dropping the subject when I have to re-enroll in College in August. Oh well, the lessons are fun when we get to debate, scratch the essays/exams and it'd be a pretty mintt class. xD

Getting to argue about random stuff? That does sound pretty sweet! I'm planning a debate with my students and I'm a little scared it will devolve into a vicious free-for-all. I may have to pre-check the room for sharp things!
By the way, on the subject of LOLs, who here is waiting for this day?!

WOW! I'd be rich xD
&& don't worry about the debate .. but if its not a regular occurrence in the class, I'd get your hands on a whistle, or something that makes a loud noise, and use it to shut everyone up if too many people start talking at once. In my experience, though, usually one person on each side of the argument tends to stand out, whilst others naturally pull back from speaking out loud.
