Well, NewOldBrownCoat's Rule ( Any time the posts in a thread get longer than 1 screen, it's time to stop reading that thread. ) doesn't usually kick in until a thread has been running for a while. First time I can think of it happening on the original post of a thread. SO I ain't gonna read the whole thing.
But summarize this for me , please, wouldja? Small enough to fit on a postcard? ( That's kinda like a hard copy Twitter, for you folks too young to remember.) What is the difference between " narcissist " and " merely narcissticic "? Tain't even the difference between " being a Republican " and " acting like a Republican. "
Feels like somebody said, " I know, we'll do an attack piece, we'll call him a narcissist, you write it, I'll pay you by the word."

Thanx, Mike. I may not always agree with what you post, but I think ya hit this one right on the head, got the exact combination of words to say exactly what's in my head.

I have translated this to read: "Barack Obama appears to me to be a narcissist. Granted, I'm talking out of my ass and can't possibly know one way or the other. But, in the absence of the most important and pivotal of diagnostic tools (the patient) I am going to make wild leaps of logic and draw conclusions from them that can't be validated scientifically."
Any analysis that begins by asserting its own inability to properly analyze a subject is invalid for its purpose. Obama may be a narcissist, or he may not be. Peripheral observations can only conclude what the observer wishes to believe.
