My buddy is selling a Firefly prop, i was wondering what episode it was used in so I can fill him in.

I beleive it was the pilot episode. It's the goods (food rations) they sold to Patience. I may be wrong so someone feel free to correct me if I am.

Whole containers filled with them can be seen fairly close-up in the first scene inside the cargo bay of Serenity, in the Pilot after scarfing them from the destroyed Carrier, launching the CryBaby and eluding the Alliance Cruiser Dortmunder. Mal sees the imprint and is in a hurry to get to Badger to get them fenced.
The name of the Pilot Episode is Serenity, not to be confused with the Motion Picture Serenity.

How about some information for us? Where did your friend get this? is it an actual prop, or a reproduction? Can it be proved if it's a real one? I'll bid on it, IF I know it's "real".

Its from the "real" production molds. Their are 4-5 in total. So he is selling a few limited runs and that is about it. So really after this set of them i wouldn't expect to see any more up for a few years.

So basically the real one as sculpted, molded, then remolded for production runs. The molds he as are the production ones. So the castings that come out of it look the same as the ones in the show. Were they sreen used they would have a much higher starting bid.

And thanks for the replies people. We have been trying to find out info on several items and by far this community has been the nicest about filling us in.
