Some of these posts that are supposed to be funny, are pretty retarded. If you looked at the results, and weren't an idiot, you would see they didn't have a problem with counting votes, they just didn't care about the results and called it what they wanted to, which is what the 'contest rules' said would happen.

lllllooooooolllz take that Colbert XD i kinda figured they'd go with a name different from the top two just to keep the peace. but i'm *so* glad they didnt name it Colbert. Their reasoning behind Tranquility makes sense though.

It's pretty obvious what happened. Colbert being an asshole didn't happen, that was already a part of the known world order. Some Firefly fan dicked us by ticking off NASA. Serenity was the clear winner, and was one of the prefered options because someone at NASA was a browncoat, but then some rabid fan did something so looney and obnoxious that they canned the idea. That's my call. They were clearly predisposed in our favor, and someone on our side probably screwed it up.

once again, they were 'suggestions' not 'nominations'. NASA said they'd consider the top votes, but they still have the right to choose. it is *their* ISS after all. they never said the winner of the contest would be the end all be all.
