Better? Better in that I can't view anyone's profile unless I'm 'networked'? better in that every time I tried to click on a single thing there I was told I had to install an app, and in my two days there most of my messages were getting hounded to install this or that app, with no way to block it? Better in that the design was boring and the photo albums anything but user-friendly? Better in that it refused to sign me up without my full name, like some kind of creepy stalker identity theft site? This is better compared to myspace, where it's a personal choice what access others have to your profile, what it looks like, how your name shows up, apps can be completely blocked if you so wish it, uploads are super easy, bulletins exist, music is everywhere, and all settings are basically completely customizable?

BUT Facebook is overall easier to use, and simpler for keeping in touch with people. MySpack is slow on my computer too. I can download 3 fb links before one loads on ms.

Smile && Nod, it makes it seem like you know what's going on.

Well. I disagree, for reasons already stated. I find myspace pretty simple and easy, and it's been having far fewer errors since they rolled out the new updates. So I'll stick with the original thankyouverymuch.

My computer hates both MySpace & Facebook. Too much junk.
Twitter is simple & sweet and I love it. 140 characters, links to websites & pics. That's it. Couldn't be simpler. And I still stay in touch with all my friends, real-time. When my friend sees a Broadway show in NYC, I get a pic of the set. When my friend in SanFran sees an awesome sunset, so do I.
Incidentally, Nathan's Twitter really is him. He had dinner with Felicia Day (who is a Twitterholic) last night after the Dr. Horrible panel at Paley. At first he hijacked her Twitter to tell everyone she smells really good. Then Felicia took back her account & said she was trying to convince him to get his own. She even included a pic of their lovely faces. 30 minutes later, she announced that he had joined. You can read her Twitter feed to see the progression:
www.twitter.com/feliciaday
(You don't have to be a Twitterer to read it)
Since he joined last night, Nathan has garnered 16,855 followers. (And gotten a haircut)

I succumbed and opened a twitter account *gasp*
I'm really excited about following Nathan (He went out to dinner with Alan last night!!!!)
There's also a JoshWhedon who may or may not be Joss...it kinda sounds like him but I am skeptical.
I'm also following Jayne Cobb for fun.

Welcome to the Twitterverse!

I don't know for certain if that's Joss or not. But I'm leaning toward "not".
The Whedon crew (and Maurissa) seem to take turns tweeting from @drhorrible.
You can also follow Alyson Hannigan (@alydenisof) who was endorsed(?) by Felicia Day also. So it was basically one celeb vouching for another.
It's sometimes hard to know who is for real and who isn't -- same as any other social networking site I guess. LeVar Burton had to take back his ID from someone who was posing as him.
You won't find as many celebs on Twitter as you do on Facebook or MySpace. But the ones who are there seem to be hooked -- fairly prolific. It's kinda funny.

If you use Firefox as a browser, there is a clever little addon called TwitterFox - if install that, it will automatically check to see if there are updates, and if there show a little balloon for you to take notice. SO you don't have to sit and refresh your page all the time :)

Mr Demi Moore was selling twitter on Larry King last night, and couldn't answer the question of why a max 140 characters.
The Powers That Be really want you on twitter, if not facebook. NSA datamining psyop that sucks your brain. 140 max lobotomizes your brain.
Myspace got out of control. Too much information raises intelligence. Thus the slow load times, throttled by ISPs under corporate/NSA threat, captchas gotcha, all music downloads banned, PR sites ban images and links, profiles deleted, news links banned, spam encouraged. Owned by Australian Murdoch and his myspace ho Wendi Deng from Commie China.
