OK so Echo hangs Dominick out the window and they're clearly not underground. I suppose the office could be above ground and the Dolls could be under ground but still they seem to own the whole place.

Also when Topher was holding the chip he found while Millie was being imprinted. So, what does that mean? Could Dominick be a red herring? Could there be a backup way to change an imprint?

Why would Dominick be contacting Ballard about taking down the Dollhouse if his goal was not to take it down but to have the NSA control it?

At least the twists and turns are coming a lot quicker now. The show is definitely growing on me.

This form of dramatic television hasn't been so captivating since The Prisoner, for all of its intriguing ambiguities.

I, for one, could never have expected Eliza Dushku to take on the Patrick McGoohan role -- both as producer and star. Kudos to her for braving the attempt and making a helluva go at it. And bravo to Mr. Whedon and the staff writers, et. al., for imbuing Dollhouse with the quality required to pull it off.

So many twists!

But you know, I think there may just still be a spy in the dollhouse... Because if what Dominic is said is true, the government is trying to prevent the dollhouse from being exposed as well. I don't think all those juicy hints that are being imprinted onto Victor, Echo, and now November are exactly preventing Ballard from from conducting his investigations.

Maybe it goes back to Alpha having his own imprinting chair.

Best Episode Ever......of any show. This episode rivals anything JJ Abrams had in Lost or Fringe.
The question remains: Is this enough and in time to save this show?

If this were a five-course meal, it would've been prepared by Wolfgang Puck himself. Excellent writing. The set-up, execution and overall storyline was on a par with OMR, Jaynestown or Ariel. That's what I think of it. BRAVO Jane!

There was so much to it that I must see it again to catch all the nuances, twists and cul-de-sacs.
Brilliant with a capital B.

From the different POVs that they unvieled this story to the kick-in-the-gut reveals throughout this episode I was enthralled. I did not see anything coming and this is a good thing. Loved it from beginning to end, especially that ending.

SPOILER ALERT

Did anyone notice? Echo was looking right at Boyd throughout her "bonding" with the new handler.

There's more to DeWitt than what we saw. I think that Roger was a "true" love from her past that somehow went south.

Mr. Dominic an NSA Agent? Who knew? But he's not the only one spying on the DH. I'm beginning to think that our resident genius is a lot smarter than he's letting on. Topher, IMO, may very well be the one imprinting the subliminal messages into the Dolls.

So many details, so little time.

Great episode. I hope that Fox lets Joss finish this one. Wow.

I think you're right about Roger. I really do feel bad for DeWitt. I don't know that I could manage to be as tough and businesslike in her position.

But is he the spy who's been putting subliminal messages into the dolls?

I don't think Mr. Dominic was sending those messages. My instinct tells me it's Topher. He keeps acting the fool a little too much (obviously to throw people off his scent). I'm just saying.

In one word: in-frakkin'-credible! Astounding overall quality. I thought never thereafter would anything ever beat episode 6 -- I was wrong! This was truly awesome. Man, you gotta love Jane Espenson! I even cared for DeWitt! Quite an interesting twist there, with Vic. Not tacky at all. Ere the opposite: you see the grotesqueness of what they're doing affecting their very souls. I loved how the weight of the lie was just too much for DeWitt; and how she took Dr. Saunders stitching her up without an anaesthetic: just feeling deservering of the pain. That makes them not monsters, but rather, in the words of Adelle herself, people who make choices and live with them -- however misguided or plain wrong those choices are.

I share the *cries*. It can't end now. That'd be cruel and unusual punishment.

Oh, and to end with your typical man-reaction, did anyone else think Ivy looked sexier than ever??

Is no one interested in Dollhouse any more? I find this disheartening. :( Especially since it was getting so good!

Adelle (to chigolo Victor): "No, I'm not letting you become a client. The Universe might collapse in on itself, on that one!"

It would be hi-larious, though: a doll who entertains the services of the Dollhouse! (Kind of a "13th floor" idea). Indeed, the Universe might very well collapse in on itself, on that one! :)

More Adelle:

"At your first date you try to hide your flaws.
Then there's the relationship, in which you try to hide your disappointments.
Then there's marriage; and you try to hide your sins."

(Quotes from memory; so reader beware). C'mon, guys! It was good! At first I cared so little for Adelle; and now she has me quoting her! A show that can do that, in only 9 episodes (5 of which sucked. Oops, just pulled an 'Ivy'), that's gotta be worth someone's time.

At any rate, yesterday I already pre-ordered the Dollhouse Blu-Ray at Amazon; so there!
