Hi

So should we take action, be brave and set a date?

Should we perhaps form a committee to start organising things? I'm more than willing to help.....

Do those of us in Oxford area want to meet up before this?

I live in Oxfordshire, and it sounds like a good idea.

Mark me down as another Oxford browncoat. Although I'm a Firefly newbie (watched my first ep at the weekend, finished disc four tonight)... Up for a meet here, London or anywhere else convenient!

That sounds like a good idea. Do you mean as a way of travelling to wherever beforehand or as an actual kinda mini-Shindig thing?

Hey, just found this thread- sounds good- I'm a London Gal, but thanks to my shiny new car Oxford would be easy to get to! Let me know when and where

I'm in Scotland - Lanarkshire and I would be up for a shindig and it aint that expensive to get to London from here if you fly Prestwick to Stanstead at any rate, so provided theres plenty of warning to get cheap flights its definatly do able. And besides the other half has got an interview with a company in Oxford so you never know........

Cool - I'll compile a list of people who'd be up for a) the big shindig, wherever it may be and b) the Oxford-mini shindig, as suggested at some point earlier...

If anyone who fancies coming or wants frequent info can email shindig@pudor.co.uk, that would be wicked :) I'll PM everyone who's expressed eagerness so far :)

I live in the North of England, not sure if there is anyone else in my area, but a good place to have mini-shindigs or even just meet other Firefly fans is at conventions. There is one in a weeks time in fact, a starfury one Hyperion, and I know of a few Firefly fans going to that one, then there are other cons later this year, and the big one, the Serenity con next year, which is apparently going to be timed to take place not long after the movie comes out over here, so I guess that will be the really really big shindig here. Maybe see some of you around, I'll be the tall one by the bar.

Oy be down 'ere in Debbun! (lol)
Seriously enough, I am Devonshire by birth, and I have to say that a Shindig sounds like a SHINY idea to me. The only problem is travel/hotel arrangements (due to lack of £... and a car... hell, I don't even have a moped...).

I would love to come to a shindig in or near London, but I can't afford any more trips to London this year. I've been to one convention and have three more to go.

I'd be up for folk dancing, but alternatives might be wise.

I've been to a couple of Danish Slayerfests, and two of the guys there had made a Buffy trival pursuit that was extremely popular. Has anyone made a Firefly TP? I bet that would be popular at shindigs.

Firefly STILL hasn't been on Danish TV despite TV2 having bought it more than a year ago :-(
Love my DVDs!
